Original Story Landscape/ Set
I created an original story set on a farm in Virginia in 1775. The main character, Elizabeth, is sent to her uncle's farm by her parents. During her two month voyage across the ocean, the skirmishes of 1775 have turned into a full blown revolution in the colonies. Elizabeth changes from a stuck up, stiff girl from London to a hard-working young lady. She grows as a person through her interactions, on this farm, with her uncle, aunt, and (love-interest/ fellow farmhand) Thomas. Throughout her endeavors in colonial Virginia she finds love, learns empathy, and comes to understand the colonies’ grievances through first-hand experience.
